Establish the Work of Our Hands
“Establish the work of our hands for us–yes, establish the work of our hands.” This is the petition of Moses, the man of God, recorded forever at the end of the ninetieth psalm. Knowing it was Moses, that great sage of old whose monumental leadership facilitated the freedom of an enslaved nation, helps me so much, for it is easy to think a great man like that would not need much help. And yet, the biblical record show otherwise, and because of this this true servant uttered regular pleas for help for Yahweh. Do I cry for such help? Do you? Or are we too convinced we don’t need it?
