My Portion Forever
On the cusp of a new year it is no doubt fitting to pause, reflect, and indeed picture in our minds the great majesty of the Most High God. When we do then there is no doubt we will, like Asaph in Psalm 73, declare, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Remember that going into this year. And add to that portrait of majesty the deep exhortation of Psalm 112:1, which says, “Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delight in his commandments.”
